Hi there!  It’s been a while since I’ve actually created an outfit post or given you all a life update here on the blog and a lot has been going on in our world so I thought it was about time.  This year has been especially busy for us with our kid-free trip to Australia (as seen in these posts from Sydney, the Hunter Valley and Hamilton Island), our big first floor renovation, and just the daily life of two working parents with a toddler.

I couldn’t be happier that summer is fi-na-lly here!  I live for warm weather and as you might have noticed gravitate towards wearing dresses, tank tops, skirts and sandals.  I love not having to grab a coat and pile on a scarf, hat and gloves.  It’s so nice to unbundle for the season.

Loving Lace-Up

I say, all lace-up everything!  I just added this long-sleeve ribbed dress to my rotation and I really appreciate that it’s such a classic piece. The ribbing creates a very flattering fit and I absolutely love the lace-up neckline with gold grommets.  It’s so on trend yet classic, and perfect for summer and the months leading up to it.

Spring Shoe Edit 2017

Although it feels more like winter in Denver now than it did just last week, I wanted to share my Spring 2017 Shoe Wish List!  I’ve been stocking up on nude block-heel sandals as seen on my Instagram.   Typically I gravitate towards neutral shoes but I’ve also really been loving footwear with a pop of pink.  Pink pairs with almost everything so try this season’s perfect pastel pink tennis shoes,  rose mid-calf boots, fuchsia lace-ups, or blush mules.  Spring shoes are all about the details with fringe, fur and floral popping up everywhere.  See my top picks to spring your footwear forward this season. A Subtle Safari Nursery

Carter’s nursery is a subtle safari theme perfect for the wide-eyed and curious little boy that he is. I filled the room with dark furniture, cream accents and lots of animals.  The nursery may be pretty neutral but I had a lot of fun filling it and I couldn’t be happier with how the end product turned out.
