Introducing Kennedy Lee born February 2nd, 2019. Which by now makes her nearly five months old! I’ve been soaking up little Kennedy with her chubby cheeks, sweet disposition and endless snuggles (let me tell you, the girl likes to be held). But I’ve decided that it’s finally time to break out of my baby bubble and at least share these photos from Kennedy’s newborn session and also give you a little life update!
Maternity/Family Photos
Denver, Family, fashion, lifestyle, Maternity, Motherhood, Parenting, Pregnancy, WinterHappy New Year everyone! It’s still January, so technically I think it still applies.
We took these photos at the beginning of December for our holiday cards and it was literally freezing outside. I think it was 20 degrees and we were so so cold. You can tell by Carter’s little chapped nose. Don’t worry we kept having him go to the car for warm ups after short spurts of taking pictures. It was not the easiest photo session because we had to wake him up from too long of a nap, get him dressed and then stick him in the car to drive about 30 minutes from our house, which made him really crabby. Plus, he was so upset that there were no animals on the “farm”. He no joke talked about it for six weeks after we took these photos. So notes to moms: be careful where you choose to take family photos! I had no idea this would be such an issue.
Pregnancy Must-Haves
Accessories, Beauty, Fall, Family, fashion, lifestyle, Maternity, Motherhood, Parenting, Pregnancy, StyleAs I enter the third trimester of my second pregnancy, I wanted to share my must-haves for the expecting mama! These are items that are tried and true in my book. I highly recommend each and every one of them from my personal experience. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, but when you have morning sickness, swollen feet and are experiencing weight gain it doesn’t always feel that way.
Of course you need a good prenatal vitamin, and belly oil to prevent stretch marks, but some of these items like the maternity PJ’s and nursing bra are items that I resisted buying during my first pregnancy for whatever silly reason and items that I have thoroughly enjoyed during my second pregnancy. I’ve focused on things that would make me feel comfortable and good during a process with an ever-changing body and rotating symptoms.
Here’s my top picks to get you through your 9 months of pregnancy! Because waiting for your little one to arrive is both the hardest and most beautiful thing.
XO, Libby
A Girl’s Trip to Sunny Palm Springs
California, fashion, lifestyle, Maternity, Pregnancy, Style, Warm Weather Go-To's, Wedding SeasonI recently returned from the perfect girls’ weekend in Palm Springs, California. We went to celebrate my friend Ali’s bachelorette party and got our fill of sun, girl time and relaxation. Yet somehow I still came home feeling exhausted! (I think it may be due to that whole being 5 months pregnant thing.)
Phoenix Family Photos & A Very Special Announcement!
Arizona, Family, fashion, lifestyle, Maternity, Motherhood, Parenting, PregnancyHi there! It’s been a while since I’ve actually created an outfit post or given you all a life update here on the blog and a lot has been going on in our world so I thought it was about time. This year has been especially busy for us with our kid-free trip to Australia (as seen in these posts from Sydney, the Hunter Valley and Hamilton Island), our big first floor renovation, and just the daily life of two working parents with a toddler.
Yet somehow I feel like 2019 will be even busier. If you follow my Instagram you already know that…
Leopard as A Neutral
Accessories, Fall, fashion, lifestyle, Shoes, Style, Sweater Weather
I whole-heartedly believe that leopard-print is a neutral. My closet proves just that! Over the years, I’ve accumulated plenty of animal print pieces to mix-and-match.
Leopard-print is usually rendered in black and various shades of tan, making it the perfect pattern to pair with color and dare I say, even other patterns! Going for a classic look, pair leopard with red. Looking for a more subdued outfit, team the feline print with black, white , cream and tans. And if you’re ready for a walk on the wild side, style your leopard with denim, bold colors or even stripes. Animal print is a trend that won’t go out of style. Here’s my top picks to make you the cat’s meow!

Kitchen Renovation
Denver, Entertaining, Family, Home Renovation, lifestyle
May I present our newly renovated kitchen! Scott and I are definitely still in the “Do we really live here?!?” phase. We’re very happy with the results. And I’m so glad because mid-reno, when we were on our fifth week of being gypsies with a toddler and in the fourth house we were staying in, I couldn’t see an end in sight and I thought we had lost our minds. Carter did his time sleeping in a pack-n-play, and we cleaned someone else’s house each week before we packed up and moved on to the next. But now that the dust has settled, and so have we, I realize that it was all worth it and I would do it again. I believe that loving your home is important and I’m so grateful to come home to our newly updated kitchen and my family each night.
My Top 10 Toddler Reads
Family, Maternity, Motherhood, ParentingAs a mother of a now two-year-old (how did that happen?!?), I wanted to share our favorite story books. The ones we read over and over and over again. These books are 100% Carter approved, Carter requested and mom likes the messages too!
Two is a Zoo Birthday Party
Birthday Celebration, Denver, Entertaining, Family, Motherhood, ParentingWe’ve heard Two is a Zoo! So we decided to embrace the chaos and throw our little guy a wild bash fit for a pack of party animals.
Hamilton Island & The Whitsundays
Australia, Beach, fashion, Island, travel, Travel GuideAs you descend the stairs from the plane on the Hamilton Island runway, you instantly feel like you’ve landed in paradise. Nothing beats leaving air plane air conditioning and having warm, salty ocean air wash over you. The small airport is open to the outdoors and baggage claim has views of the ocean.
We spent our last week in Australia on Hamilton Island and it was amazing. The island which is part of the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland is truly a paradise with beautiful scenery at every turn, and although Scott and I weren’t alive at the time we imagine it to be somewhat like Waikiki Beach in the 1950’s. There’s plenty to do on the island, yet somehow it seems untouched and undeveloped which is a rarity and so very peaceful. There are no cars on the island aside from those of the maintenance and service crews, so you get around by “buggie” or as we Americans know them – golf carts.
