I couldn’t be happier that summer is fi-na-lly here! I live for warm weather and as you might have noticed gravitate towards wearing dresses, tank tops, skirts and sandals. I love not having to grab a coat and pile on a scarf, hat and gloves. It’s so nice to unbundle for the season.
And this outfit was a great one to step out in and fully embrace the sunshine. The pleated-skirt (from my favorite boutique June Ruby) flowed beautifully in the wind and I loved walking the streets of downtown Denver in it! The polka dots felt very retro and feminine. And if you’re in the mood for pleats, this bright color-blocked skirt is a beautiful option, as it this raspberry maxi, and if you’re dressing up this metallic version is a real show stopper!
To keep my outfit of the moment I paired it with a cold shoulder top in chambray also thanks to June Ruby. I found this exact top in black and blush, a really cute bell-sleeved chambray shirt with white trim, and another three-quarter sleeve chambray top with a peplum hem.
I paired my girly getup with neutral block-heeled sandals (which also come in a darker natural shade, as well as a flat version). And to finish off my warm weather outfit, I grabbed my favorite summertime carryall and Dolce & Gabbana cat-eye sunnies.
Hope everyone is enjoying the first leg of summer!
