I recently returned from the perfect girls’ weekend in Palm Springs, California.  We went to celebrate my friend Ali’s bachelorette party and got our fill of sun, girl time and relaxation.  Yet somehow I still came home feeling exhausted! (I think it may be due to that whole being 5 months pregnant thing.)

We rented the cutest Airbnb complete with a pool filled with floats and spent a lot of our time away from home lounging in and around the pool.  Before our trip, we had seriously only two weeks of cold weather in Denver and I was ready for a warm vacation.  How am I going to make it through the winter?!?

Upon arrival we decorated the house with this Miss to Mrs sign, Bride Tribe Cups, balloons, penis straws, and all of the other bachelorette party “necessities”.  We also got these adorable Bride’s Flock tanks off of Etsy and wore them out to brunch at Cheekys.  The mint green and flamingos just felt so perfect for the occasion.  The M.O.B also brought us these pretty flower crowns and these fun Bride Tribe temporary tattoos that we wore out one night.

We also made sure to pack our Chambong for the festivities.  If you’re not familiar with the Chambong, it’s a champagne glass with a straw built into the bottom to help quickly shoot your champagne.  As my girlfriends and I all love champagne, it’s a must for our special get-togethers, parties and celebrations.  We actually rush ordered our Chambong for our group trip to Napa when we all turned thirty last year!  And while I couldn’t partake this trip, just witnessing the scene that is the “Chambong-Train” is hilarious!

For the first night in Palm Springs, we went to an al fresco dinner at Birba and fell instantly in love with the city.  The food was absolutely delicious and the live music outdoors was the perfect dive into our girls trip.  I squeezed myself into this non-maternity Mara Hoffman maxi which I can’t currently find online but found a similar Mara Hoffman floral lace-up dress, which is also on sale here in a few sizes.  She is one of my favorite designers and always has bright, beautiful patterns throughout her line.  I linked some similar tie-front maxi dresses like this palm leaf maxi, which also comes in classic white, this beautiful ruffled dress, and this bright tropical dress.  I also found a couple of more fall appropriate maxi dresses with cut-outs here and here.  For the night out with my girls, I grabbed my favorite bamboo bag, which also comes in light pink and now gold!

Like I mentioned before, we mostly lounged by the pool while in Palm Springs but we also made it out for a bit to shop up and down Palm Canyon Drive which has some really great home decor shopping, a massive Trina Turk boutique, and Ernest Coffee which I would frequent if I had has more time in the desert.

On our last night we all decided to wear yellow, partly due to an inside joke regarding the bride and partly because we all thought it was cute to have Ali in white and everyone else in a punchy color out on the town.  The bride is wearing this classy lace dress (more sizes here) and I’m wearing an older sundress that thankfully fit my bump, but I found a bunch of really cute yellow dress options if you’re looking for something sunny.  Check out this classic cotton midi with a square neckline, a sheer ruffled maxi, an embroidered bohemian midi, a striped front-tie mini, and a feminine floral mini!

We started the night with pre-drinks (a mocktail mojito for me) at the ultra-chic Truss + Twine, followed by dinner outside in the courtyard under an illuminated olive tree at Workshop Kitchen + Bar.  We then went to a comedic drag show at Retro Room Lounge and finished the night with dancing.

We had a blast getting our girl ready to get hitched and I can’t wait to make another trip to the desert!
