This past weekend, Scott and I spent a long weekend in New York City. We’re lucky enough to have friends who live in the city and they always show us a good time, taking us to historical bars, hip restaurants and recommending fun tourist activities a little off the beaten path. For those without friends in NYC, here’s my long-weekend guide to New York City.

NYC Packing List
fashion, lifestyle, New York City, travel, WinterScott and I are headed to The Big Apple! We have a ton of great activities planned including a viewing of The Jimmy Fallon Show, hanging with one of my best friends from college and lots of culinary delights. And while it may seem like Spring in Denver, NYC is a bit colder and the forecast is even predicting some snow flurries while we’re there. See my selections for everything you need to pack for a long winter weekend in the city!

Chilly Chicago
Chicago, fashion, travel, Travel Guide, Wedding, Wedding Season, Winter
I’m finally getting around to posting about our trip to Chicago over New Year’s Eve. I don’t know where January has gone, but life seems to be moving incredibly fast these days. January was a terrific month filled with lots of time spent with friends, naps, Netflix and relaxation, and the Broncos kicking butt all the way to the Super Bowl!!!! Woot! Woot!

We spent this past weekend in Vail, Colorado. It snowed pretty much the entire time we were there which made it all that more magical. It was the perfect mini-getaway, just me and the hubs.

Rompin’ Around Capri
Beach, Capri, fashion, Island, Italy, travelWe spent our last days in Italy on the island of Capri and it was truly amazing. Capri is a short ferry ride away from Positano and very easy to visit, even if just for a day trip. The island is truly a paradise with beautiful scenery at every turn, enticing boutiques and plenty of tasty ristorantes.
This palm print romper is my favorite purchase of the summer.
A Toast to the Amalfi Coast
Amalfi Coast, Beach, fashion, Italy, Positano, travelThe scenery on the Amalfi Cost is dazzling. It’s certainly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The town of Positano climbing the Italian hillside with the colorful beach umbrellas below, all lined in rows facing the marina filled with boats swaying in the sea is simply spectacular.
When in Rome
fashion, Italy, Rome, travelRome has a thing for monuments. And boy are the beautiful! We did a self-guided walking tour of Rome’s main attractions and loved getting lost in between. The Eternal City is sprawling yet walkable, which makes it easy to pack a lot of sightseeing into a short period of time.
Florence, Italy
fashion, Florence, Italy, Pisa, travel, TuscanyFlorence, or Firenze in Italian, is hands down one of my favorite cities. The architecture, art, fashion and the food are all exceptional. And it doesn’t hurt that Florence is the capital of Tuscany which as we all know is a region renowned for it’s vino!
(Bella) Burano, Italy
Burano, fashion, Italy, travelBurano is a small island off the coast of Venice. It’s known for it’s bright, beautifully colored houses which line small canals. The colorful homes are quite charming and their reflection off of the water only add to the cheery splendor of Burano. It’s surreal walking around the secluded, quiet island.
