Burano is a small island off the coast of Venice.  It’s known for it’s bright, beautifully colored houses which line small canals.  The colorful homes are quite charming and their reflection off of the water only add to the cheery splendor of Burano.  It’s surreal walking around the secluded, quiet island.

We took a 40-minute boat ride on a vaporetto (a.k.a. water bus) across the Venetian Lagoon.  The ride was beautiful as we sailed away from picturesque Venice and past other watercrafts, small islands with abandoned ruins and the island of Murano which is known for its world famous glass blowing.

T-shirt dresses are a girls best friend while traveling.  They’re compact, comfortable and a great starting point for any outfit.  Use a t-shirt dress as a blank canvas and you can accessorize to your heart’s content.

Black and white is a classic combination and always in style.  I paired this basic black t-shirt dress with my trusty color-blocked Tory Burch espadrilles.  I love that they look the the Chanel version!
