The hubby and I had a date night at one of our favorite Italian restaurants and on the walk over we came across an abundance of sunflowers in someone’s yard. It was lovely and reminded me of my time in Kansas, where I went to college.
This army-green Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent maxi always makes me laugh, since I bought it on a whim after a bottomless mimosa brunch in Chicago with Katie of Kel & Kate.
I am happy to announce that my blog was nominated for a Liebster Award… twice! I was originally nominated by Laura of itslalaflutterby and then recently by Rebekah of Moments of a Mermaid!
What is a Liebster Award you may ask?! I wasn’t entirely sure myself as I’m still pretty new to the world of blogging, so I did my research and found out that The Liebster Award is a way for new bloggers to create connections and empower each other. I’m so grateful to be nominated by both of these amazing bloggers. Thank you!
We had a weekend full of birthday celebrations! One of those parties was for a good friend’s 30th birthday, so we wined and dined at Elway’s.
I bought this dress in Milan when I studied abroad, and thought the Fourth of July weekend was the perfect time to bring it out again!
Coordinated separates are a match made in heaven. A coordinated ensemble can elevate your summer outfit in a breeze. Complete the look with oversize sunglasses, sandals and a bright purse.

This powder blue, tiered dress is the epitome of ladylike charm. The floral embroidery and lattice-work are simply beautiful. I love the detail! The yoke and hemline show just the right amount of skin so you don’t end up looking like sugar and spice and everything nice.
A friend invited us to the Hot Rocks Griller Challenge at Elway’s. It’s a slider grilling competition where some of the best chefs in Denver compete in an event that raises funds and awareness for Denver Health Foundation’s men’s health programs.
On Saturday we headed to dinner for my mother’s 60th birthday party. We’ve been celebrating all week, since it is a milestone year!
