We celebrated Easter with lunch and High Tea at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa. This was my first time experiencing High Tea and I absolutely loved every minute of it. High Tea is held in the lobby of the hotel and includes a vast selection of exotic teas accompanied by delicious mini desserts, scones, tea sandwiches and live music. And if you’re not abstaining from champagne like I currently am, you can add in bubbly! We really didn’t need to eat lunch before since there was so much food served, but since we were all tea-time beginners and didn’t know any better we ate beforehand. The Brown Palace is one of my go-to’s for special occasions, like the Champagne Cascade to kick off the holiday season as seen in this post.
I’ve been experimenting with how to dress my growing baby bump and found the perfect Easter outfit as seen in this Instagram post.
Since it snows one day in Denver and is sunny the next, it can be challenging to dress weather appropriate especially for a springy holiday like Easter. It was a little chilly so I grabbed this oversized gingham button-up which is the perfect spring-time top for an expanding belly. The light pink and white gingham combo is no longer available at J.Crew but they have a rainbow of other colors in the same button-up shirt. For a pink alternative check out this shirt.
I paired my light pink plaid with my new white maternity skinny jeans. I finally broke down and bought some maternity pants a.k.a. “mom jeans”. I was trying to skate by until the warmer spring/summer weather so I could just wear dresses but that plan didn’t pan out! These jeans are awesome… they are form fitting yet have just the right amount of stretch. (They’re also a really nice price-point and come in a medium and dark wash, black and light grey.)
To add a little sparkle and sophistication to the ensemble I grabbed my gold clutch and rose gold pointed-toe pumps which are no longer available but similar styles can be found here, here and if you’re looking for a splurge-worthy pair, here and here.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter!
