The sun was shining in Denver this weekend and it really was such a beautiful couple of days.  On Sunday, Scott and I had our own little date day which was so nice to just have a laid back day to ourselves.  We took the dog to the park, had lunch on a patio (followed by a stop at Dairy Queen… I mean come on, 70 degrees in April calls for a DQ Blizzard), played cornhole in our yard just the two of us (to really take advantage of the warm weather), made dinner and watched a movie.  It was a perfect day!  And now that we have a little one on the way, I’m really trying to cherish the one-on-one time with my husband.

I threw on my trusty coral peplum top, which has been a go-to since I picked it up last summer.  Coral goes with so many things and this shirt is on repeat through the warmer months.  Check out my post from last summer where I wore it with zebra shorts.

I’m a big fan of Michael Kors and find my self stocking up on his blouses season after season.  They’re made out of really nice material and feature such beautiful colors and detailing.  Coral is a great vibrant color that looks good on every skin tone and Michael Kors knows how to do coral.  Check out this similar coral tee, this sleeveless top, this lacey blouse (which I actually have in Navy) and this off-the-shoulder top.

Since I’m always a little on the chilly side, I opted for jeans even though the weather was gorgeous.  These distressed boyfriend jeans have been my go-to especially since they’re one of my only normal (a.k.a non-maternity) pairs of pants that still fit…   They are seriously so comfortable!  I highly recommend them.  And for someone who refuses to buy designer denim that’s ripped and has holes, these are the perfect pair of distressed denim for a good price.

Now that the snow has melted and it’s safe enough to break out cream shoes, I grabbed my new favorite flats.  These leather espadrilles are an updated classic.  I love the leather construction with gold stud detail.  The ankle straps look great with pants, and I can’t wait to wear them with some springtime dresses.
