Leather leggings instantly give an outfit a bit of rocker-chic edge.  Leather in general is a sumptuous material and wearing leather pants will provide an uberglam update to any look.  These Michael Kors leather leggings are a real standout in my closet and truly elevate an ensemble. They pair great with basic tees, feminine tops, under a mini dress or tunic… the options are endless.  And they’re leggings, so they’re comfortable!

I paired my leather leggings with a classic black and white striped sweater to tone down the boldness of the skinny leather pants. I like to balance upscale clothing with something more laid back, and maybe unexpected.  This sweater literally goes with anything and has been on repeat since I bought it earlier this summer.  It’s the perfect counterbalance to a pair of leather leggings.

And let’s not forget about accessories!  My new favorite suede booties and a petite two-tone crossbody bag I picked up while traveling in Italy, were the perfect extras to complete the look.  I love the black and white simplicity of the Furla mini bag.  It’s the perfect size for carrying all of my everyday essentials, plus the chain strap and metallic hardware give it a bit of glitz.

Break out of the box and try substituting your go-to pair of jeans with a pair of leather leggings.  It will add a luxe element to your #ootd!
