This past weekend was full of beautiful Colorado weather, the changing of leaves, and snuggling up on the couch with vino, movies and football. When Scott and I did venture out, I thought it only fitting to don a great patterned dress and my favorite equestrian boots.
I picked up this great long-sleeve dress at a local boutique, Hailee Grace. The shift silhouette is so easy to wear and can easily be layered with a sweater, jacket, scarf, tights… you name it. A shift dress is a great jumping off point to a transitional outfit and can be layered up for colder weather, which is unfortunately just around the corner. I’ll be pairing this dress for months to come with a variation of different warm weather items. But while the warm weather lasts, I’ve been pairing my dresses with bare legs and boots!
Another great way to look stylish during the change of seasons is to add a wool or felt hat to your outfit. I picked up this floppy wool hat last season and it’s been put to good use. The wide-brim gives a somewhat retro 70’s vibe and the camel color goes with just about everything. I particularly like the camel color since it contrasts nicely with my dark brunette hair. A winter hat provides protection for your locks from the onset of precipitation. (Plus it’s a stylish way to hide dirty hair!)

Paisley Dress – I’ve had my eye on this gorgeous BCBG dress. Check out this abstract, drop waist chiffon Cynthia Steffe dress and this luxe floral option from Just Cavalli. And don’t miss this budget friendly Joe Fresh option.
Wool Hat – This wide-brim version comes in a bunch of great colors, and this cranberry color is not to be missed. I’m a sucker for details and these hats don’t disappoint. Check out this wool Panama hat with braided band, this hat with feather detail, and this hat with bow detail is just the cutest.
Riding Boots – These oh-so-classic Tory Burch Riding Boots are amazing! As are these affordable Ralph Lauren boots which come in several colors. And if you’re looking for a bit of a heel, try these Frye boots with a stacked heel.
We kinda match!
