Give your winter wardrobe a break from black and a breathe of fresh air with all white! Now that our February heat wave has come to a halt and there should be a light dusting of snow in Denver today, it’s the perfect time to try the monochromatic color coding in a palette of winter white.

White can be seasonally appropriate with the right fit and texture.  I usually wear my white jeans during the summer months, but they’re the perfect pair to mix with ivory sweaters, frosty frocks, and pearly blouses.  Mixing different shades of white is the best way to relay a relaxed and tranquil vibe.  Make sure to add in lots of luxe texture to keep the look feeling rich and oh so cozy.  Try cableknit, chunky sweaters and wool paired with crisp jeans or trousers for an easy ensemble.  My cold-shoulder sweater it sold out but similar styles can be found here, here and love this sparkly cableknit option.

Think of your winter whites as a blank canvas to play with proportion, detail and best of all accessories.

I paired my all-white ensemble with cognac booties (similar here and here), a well-loved Facconable wrap coat (similar here, here and shearling splurge item here) and topped it off with a camel knit hat with gold thread by The Seventh Guilt (made by Elizabeth  Kay – a fabulous local designer and also available at my fav boutique June Ruby!)  Elizabeth even made a special beanie for my mini!  How cute is he?!  I seriously just can’t get enough… I know all you mommies out there can relate!

I’ve actually made some changes and recently reduced my hours at work to spend more time with my baby boy.  And although the change came at a cost, my husband and I thought it was well worth it.  Looking forward to my Fridays with Carter!  XO
