We celebrated the #Katburger wedding this past weekend in fabulous black tie style. Our friends Alex and Zach were married in a beautiful Jewish ceremony-in-the-round at The Studio Loft. They’re recent transplants from NYC and their venue delivered that big city feel.
I wore a slinky tangerine dress from J.Crew. (Now on major sale!) Technically it’s a bridesmaid dress, but I didn’t let that stop me… after all the wedding was a formal affair! I love the simplistic silhouette in such a vibrant color. The spaghetti straps and structured bodice offset the trumpet style flare from the hips, which drapes beautifully.
The half-up hairstyle with something interesting in the back is one of my go-to styles when getting my hair done for an event. Adding braids, twists, or even a knot really enhances any hairstyle. Lucky for me, one of my best friends, Marie, is a hairstylist and she does an amazing job bringing my Pin-spirations to life.
The black tie dress code and the fact that Alex is one of my high school friends made getting ready feel like we had hit rewind and were back getting ready for prom. It was so much fun!
Our classic high school pose… which we’ve continued to do at each one of our weddings.
Sadly I was too busy sipping champagne and dancing to get a snap with the bride during the reception. A sign of a good party!
Congratulations to the Schonbergers! Mazel tov!
